Activated Bleaching Clay
Food-grade and industrial-grade activated bleaching clay, plus sodium bentonite.
Activated bleaching clay consists of SiO₂ 50–70%, Al₂O₃ 10–16%, Fe₂O₃ 2–4% and MgO 1–6%. It is an odourless, tasteless, non-toxic white to beige powder with a density of 0.6–0.8 g/cm³, insoluble in water, organic solvents, oils and fats.
Its layered molecular structure with irregular surface pores gives it strong adsorption capacity once interlayer water is removed above 300 °C. We offer food-grade activated clay, industrial-grade activated clay and sodium bentonite. Purity is consistent across the range; the difference lies in decolourising capacity, so choosing the grade that meets your target colour is the most direct way to control cost.
